ok I haven't written a post for a million gazillion years but settling back in is so much busier than I thought I would be. I'm learning to survive very well without a computer (oh I was glued to the computer everytime I got home because I lived very conveniently on campus last year) and I've been feeling really gleeful and accomplished with how my days have been progressing so far :)
Today was my busiest day on campus, I had:
10am: International Security lecture - we talked about von Clausewitz and why people went to war, fascinating stuff 11am: Trudged to Fresh Asian in the rain to get the quotes I needed for my article only to be turned away with the phone number of the store manager 11.30am: Stood at The Boar society booth smiling to freshers and unfreshers and asking them to scribble down their email 2pm: Rushed to my Religion in England seminar. My tutor's new but I think she's really good, was acquainted with terms such as the laity and the benefist (i think it's the wrong spelling) and I'm so glad I took church history now. 3.30pm: Rushed to the religion seminar 5pm: Political Theory from Hobbes lecture 6pm: Sat in the Boar office frantically calling the Fresh Asian person because I didn't want to waste credit calling him using my handphone. Thankfully I tried one last time just after I packed up my things and he picked up, I attempted quite a number of calls. 6.30pm: 5.20, i.e. Christian Union bible study group, we started on the book of Mark :) 9pm onwards: Talked about random things with the housemates and Kevin, Edric and Ian who came over.
And I'm tired, but very happy. There's still tons of things to do though, like internship app preparation, getting my criminal check done etc etc
But I'm really happy to be back :) My room's great but we have weird slugs in our garden; we've been doing alot of communal sharing, our street is fantastic because it's so convenient just that there are irritating chevs who scare me, and I really like living off campus for some reason because I think I go to school with a focus.
I have two days a week off and I really pray that I'll use my time very very wisely.
I'm intending to join a ton of societies this year because I think I did too many sporting activities last year.
I've been going to quite a number of house warmings and we're having our own on Saturday.
I've been watching a lot of shows for some reason - i'm totally not a movie person. But I've finished Mean Girls, Murdoch's War on Journalism and When Harry Met Sally in a week. Plus I've been catching Gossip Girl and Lipstick Jungle.
Ok so I hope I've given a good idea of what I've been up to, i'm honestly sorry to everyone seeing this that I haven't been online as much as I would have liked to, but soon! When all this second year craziness calms down, but I'm enjoying myself proper. I've been enjoying quiet time too and I've challenged myself to attend Globe and CU this year so I just hope my resolutions don't fall through, haha.
Bedtime.

i think i've been controlling my spending pretty well but looking at yumilicious pictures and perfect-sounding recipes are making me itch to go out and buy ingredients to bake. But I shall be more experimental and find more ways to use the instant noodles, potatoes and carrots i have. hmm.
